Home › Deck & Fence
Decks, fences, pergolas and railings — cleaned, prepped and sealed against the sun and the humidity that take them apart.
Stain soaks in, shows the grain and wears thin gradually — easy to refresh, needs doing more often. Paint sits on top, covers tired wood and lasts longer, but when it does fail it peels and the next prep is a bigger job. On a deck underfoot, stain is usually the better answer.
Wood cleaned of mildew, algae and grey weathered fibre, then given time to dry through. Sealing damp wood traps the moisture inside and the finish lifts within a season.
End grain, the tops of rails, and the gap where boards meet the joist — these go first because they hold water longest. They get the extra attention rather than the same single pass as the open boards.
